interzum sees upswing in exhibitors
interzum 2011: wood show expects 50,000
COLOGNE, GERMANY —

Four months before interzum opens and show management said it is already seeing a noticeable increase in the amount of international exhibitors, with the number of exhibitors from Germany remaining stable.

The biennial interzum, the leading international trade fair focused on woodworking supplies, takes place May 25-28 at the Cologne Fairgrounds in Cologne, Germany.

According to show management Koelnmesse, of particular interest to visitors will be the “Function & Parts” area, in which manufacturers of hardware and systems, including metal mounts, locks, lighting systems and furniture installation components will display their products. Hall 6 will also be characterized by a focus on “Form & Decoration,” in which attendees will view products ranging from composite materials and decorative paper  to embossed cylinders.

Special packages available
Show organizers of interzum and Ligna are once again joining forces to offer a special package for visitors to these biennial events.

Deutsche Messe AG and Koelnmesse GmbH will work with attendees wishing to attend both trade shows, including special offers on admission tickets and catalogs. The shows are just 2.5 hours apart by train; interzum will be held May 25-28 at the Cologne Fairgrounds and Ligna will take place May 30-June 3 at the Hannover Fairgrounds.
