ALPHARETTA, GA — Hettich America, a supplier of furniture and cabinet hardware products and programs, was given the 2008 Red Dot Award for Product Design from the North Rhine-Westphalia Design Centre for its “Easys” electromechanical door-opening system and the “Lite inside” rail handle. An international panel of judges appraised, tested and evaluated the products based on the degree of innovation, functionality, quality and ecological compatibility.

All products receiving the award go into the Red Dot Design Museum at the North Rhine-Westphalia Design Centre, where the award-winning products will also be on display as part of a special exhibition starting June 24. The best designs will also be documented in the “Red Dot Design Yearbook 2008” that comes out June 23.
