INDIANAPOLIS -- Corey Brinkema, president of the Forest Stewardship Council U.S., is among featured presenters at the 3rd Dollars & Sense of Going Green Conference, March 17-18 in Indianapolis.

Early-bird registration for the program, organized by the Purdue University Department of Forestry and Natural Resources and Wood & Wood Products,  has been extended through Friday, March 11.

Brinkema will be joined in a special panel updating forest and chain of custody certification by Rick Cantrell, vice president and COO of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and Bob Simpson, SVP Forestry Program, American Forest Foundation. The session will be moderate by Mark Barford, executive director of the National Hardwood Lumber Asssociation.

In all, the Green Conference will feature 19 presenters, including executives of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association, American Home Furnishings Alliance, National Hardwood Lumber Association and Composite Panel Association, plus sustainability leaders of Century Furniture, Kimball Office and the Rainforest Alliance.

The program also includes a special St. Patrick's Day "Green Networking Reception" with tabletop displays and concludes with optional plant tours of Thiesing Veneer and G.R. Wood.

The Wood Education Resource Center, Franklin International and 3A Composites are sponsoring the program. Twenty wood-related trade associations and entities have thrown their support behind the program as cooperators.
