Gerdeman to head PAVE boardHOLLYWOOD, FL --

 Denny Gerdeman, principal of Columbus, OH-based Chute Gerdeman was elected as president of the PAVE Board of Directors during a March 27 meeting in Las Vegas during GlobalShop.

PAVE, short for Planning and Visual Education Partnership, encourages students to study in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising.

Gerdeman has been recognized several times during his career for contributions to retail design and visual merchandising, including an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from CCAD, DDI's Markopoulos Award and Retail Design Institute's Retail Design Legion of Honor.

Also elected as officers of PAVE were:
* Vice President, PAVE: Linda Lombardi, Godiva Chocolatier, New York, NY;
* Treasurer: Richard Ernest, Crown Metal Manufacturing Company Inc., Elmhurst, Il;
* Vice President, Gala: Bill Goddu, Fleetwood Fixtures, Chicago, IL;
* Vice President, Education: Brian Davies, University of Cincinnati, OH;
* Immediate Past President: Richard Stolls, Lifestyle/Trimco.
 
In addition, four directors were elected to the board during a PAVE Annual Meeting:
* Harry Cunningham, Saks Fifth Avenue, New York, NY;
* Randy Pender, BLUEPRINT3D, Woodbury, GA;
* Veronica Romano, FIT and Veronica Romano Creative Services LLC, New York, NY; and
* Denise Waldo, Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures, Minneapolis, MN.
