- Home improvement franchise Sir Grout says it will expand into hardwood floor refinishing. The company is rolling out Wood Armor floor renewal process which it describes as a sandless system that is a "cost effective wood floor renewal process designed for hardwood floors showing visible signs of wear."

Sir Grout, which has previously offered tile and grout care, says it is the only hard floor service franchise to also offer wood floor refinishing.

 "It's a natural fit for our franchises, said Tom Lindberg, co-owner of Sir Grout. 

 Last fall, Sir Grout, LLC  merged with Grout M.D., LLC, providing it offices in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia. At  that time Sir Grout started franchising its business model to interested entrepreneurs.
