Marketing and design presentations highlighted the March 22 Cabinet Makers Assn. Northeast regional event, sponsored by Osborne Wood Products and coordinated by Millwork and More founder and owner, Sean Benetin.

The daytime event kicked off with a presentation by Dave Grulke, CMA executive director, on the topic of Making Dollars and Sense from Your Advertising Expenses. This was followed by Osborne Marketing Director Christian Smedberg’s presentation on Digital Marketing in the New Game. Both of these talks were CMA CEU certified presentations.

Tim Revis, marketing in-house designer for Osborne, delivered a brief presentation on the company’s website, along with a review of product offerings including the new Fusion Legs and line of metal corbels.

Geared toward architects and design professionals, the evening session included talks by Smedberg and Benetin on digital marketing techniques, followed by presentations by Revis on past and present kitchen design trends.

Following the event, Smedberg said, “Being able to interact with both current and potential customers in a setting that is small enough for us to get to know each other well is certainly an advantage. Also, by holding two events on the same day we are able to refine our presentations to accurately reflect the interests of the audience. I was also pleased at the variety of topics we were able to address. Although we are in the manufactured wood products business, I am more than pleased to share any expertise I have about marketing that could help our customers improve their businesses. And Tim’s talks on kitchen design – whether it’s the history or the current trends – designers and architects always find those subjects interesting and informative.”
