LEESBURG, VA -- North American composite panel shipments in November totaled 387 MMSF (3/4” basis), down 1% compared to the same month a year ago., according to the Composite Panel Association. 

The CPA said year-to-date shipments, as captured in its monthly mill survey, were ahead of last year by 2% for all composite panel products.

Particleboard shipments were 227 MMSF (3/4” basis), down 13% from last month and down 1% compared to the same month a year ago. MDF shipments totaled 129 MMSF (3/4” basis), down 11% from last month and 8% compared to November 2009. Hardboard shipments are down 21% to 188 MMSF (1/8” basis) from last month and down 10% compared to a year ago.
