Belt sander racers from all over the country vied for trophies at the 2011 National Championship Belt Sander Races,  July 21, 2011, at the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas, NV. The event, watched by more than 750 spectators, was coordinated by the Belt Sander Racing Assn. (BSRA), Accuride International and the AWFS Fair committee.

In all, 24 belt sanders raced down a 75-foot track Thursday in the final leg of the BSRA race. Among the winners was Max Hunter of Western Dovetail (pictured), whose company's two belt sander entries took first and second in the modified category.  Stock sander was won by Perfect Match. The award for Best Dressed went to Morris Manufacturing.
