Woodcraft Raises Funds for AWFS 'Fresh Wood' Student Designers

PARKERSBURG, WV -- Woodcraft has helped raise $4,260 so far for its ongoing Fresh Wood Donations Project tied to the AWFS Fair's Fresh Wood student design competition.

Woodcraft Raises Funds for AWFS 'Fresh Wood' Student Designers Woodcraft has pledged to match up to $10,000 in customer donations for the project that supports high school and college furniture designers/builders who participate in the biennial design competition that is being held with this year's show, July 24-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Woodcraft and Rkon power tools are sponsors of the Fresh Wood competiton that awards outstanding construction and design achievements by students from high school and post-secondary woodworking programs in North America.  Entries making it into the final round of judging are displayed at the show; winners are announced at an award ceremony at the Fresh Wood Display.

Entries for the 2013 Fresh Wood competition are being accepted until May 15. The contest is open to all students in North America; there is no entry fee. Learn more about the AWFS Fair Fresh Wood competition..
