WMS - Canada's Woodworking Show - Begins Three-Day Run Thursday

TORONTO - The 2013 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo (WMS 2013), Canada's largest woodworking event, opens Thursday morning with more exhibitors, more products and attendee registration pacing nearly 50%  ahead of WMS 2011.

click image to zoomWMS 2011 Kuka RobotThe 2013 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo will feature a wealth of high-tech machinery, software and tooling. For three days, Thursday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 26, the International Centre will be transformed into a woodworker's paradise. The show will feature woodworking machines, cutting tools, software, cabinet and furniture hardware, board products, etc. manufactured by more than 250 companies around the world.

Register Now & Save $10 on Expo Registration

In adaddition to machinery and supply demonstrations, WMS 2013 will feature 10 free educational seminars, including one presented in French. Attendees will be able to enjoy free coffee and muffins served between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on each day of the show, as well as free lemonade and kettle chips served from 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

What's more, Akhurst Machinery is inviting all registered attendees to help celebrate the company's 75th anniversary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Parking at the International Centre is free for all WMS 2013 attendees and exhibitors.

Look at the suppliers list, multiple companies are shown at some booths like Akhurst, Normand and others. It looks like all the companies represented by some dealers are listed separately making it look like there are many more exhibitors than there really are.

As organizers of the show, we decided it was in best interests for attendees to know that many well-known machinery makers - Weinig, Timesavers, Thermwood, Altendorf and Heeseman, to name but a few - would not only have machines at the show but where they could be found on the show floor. In most cases these companies also will have representatives on hand to answer questions. I hope you see merit in this argument and make your way to the show. We are anticipating a good one.
