Universal Forest Products merges two divisionsGRAND RAPIDS, MI – Universal Forest Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: UFPI) will consolidate three divisions into two, merging its Atlantic and Eastern division under Robert Lees. The lumber and wood products firm also named C. Scott Greene executive VP new business development to oversee that change and to drive increased international sales efforts.

Universal Forest Products' Western division remains unchanged, headed by Allen Peters.

Universal Forest Products merges two divisionsMatthew Missad, who was named CEO of the wood products and lumber firm in July, said that the consolidation to two operating divisions is intended to enhance efficiencies and streamline the Universal Forest Products' operations.

Universal Forest Products, Inc.  manufactures and markets wood and wood-alternative products, structural lumber and other products for the manufactured housing industry, engineered wood components, and specialty wood packaging and components and packing materials.
