UltraCraft Adds 40 Jobs to Cabinet Finishing LineLIBERTY, NC — UltraCraft cabinetry, a division of Norcraft Cos., announced it will add 40 workers and a second finishing shift at its Liberty, NC, facility. The company currently has 210 employees at the plant.

According to a release by the company, the additional shift will increase UltraCraft’s finishing capacity by 20 percent. At the 213,000-square-foot facility the company manufactures two lines of cabinetry, with 75 door styles in wood, thermofoil, metal, melamine and veneer. The Destiny and Vision cabinet lines are designed for use in the kitchen, bath, office and other areas of the home, including closets.

The new production capacity will affect the Destiny line. “We are confident that the sustained gains we have made in the market reflect the focus we have placed on developing our Destiny line of products,” Ultracraft President Simon Solomon said in a statement.

“Our team has shown tremendous flexibility and focus over the last several years to expand our capabilities and deliver results that matter to our customers," added Butch Reimer, senior vice-president of operations.

UltraCraft is one of six main cabinet brands under Norcraft Cos.: Mid Continent Cabinetry, Norcraft Cabinetry, UltraCraft, StarMark Cabinetry, Fieldstone Cabinetry and Brookwood.

Norcraft Cos. posted net sales of $269.3 million for fiscal 2011.
