Touchstone Woodworks Hit by FIreRAVENNA, OH - Touchstone Woodworks was hit by a fire Oct. 18, which did more than $150,000 in damage. Fire departments from eight townships were called in to fight the blaze, which began just after midnight, according to local news outlets.

Specializing in hand-crafted, custom mahogany screen doors matched to traditional architectural  styles, the Ravenna, Ohio Touchstone Woodworks was founded in 1989 by Tina Walters. The company offers a collection of 71 screen door styles, including Victorian and traditional country with old-fashioned fretwork and gingerbread corner brackets, as well as colonial Georgian, Cape Cod  and Arts & Crafts to match Craftsman, Prairie, Tudor, Bungalow and other classical tradition.

Touchstone Woodworks also offers screen door hardware and porch parts, including turned posts and balusters, decorative flat sawn balusters, porch railings and brackets.

"Ever since I was very young, I have enjoyed working with tools and with wood, so I decided to indulge my inner woodworker and start this little business," Walters says of her company. "I am very fortunate and grateful to have a dream team of skilled, loyal and dedicated people working with me who take great pride in their work and who share my appreciation for handcrafted beauty and uncompromising quality."
