HICKORY, NC - Hickory Saw & Tool's investment in new technology has increased the tooling manufacturer's capacity and quality, while shortening lead times, said owner Mike Pannell. The company recently added a new insert grinder, CNC lathe and CNC mill at the 10,000-square-foot plant in Hickory, NC.

Pannell said the new equipment helps "shorten lead times on deliveries by as much as 50 percent." Products are shipped worldwide for use by wood products and other manufacturers.

In business since 1983, Hickory Saw & Tool operates a full-service machine shop for the custom manufacture and repair of cutting and boring tools including: bits and cutters, pattern bits, insert tooling. saw blades, boring heads, as well as gears and spindles.
