Cabinet Robot; Sunco Re-Opens; Jasper-Jofco Merger  A cabinetry production venture using a robot to do all the work was the most viewed report at Woodworking Network this week. Ro-Bois-Tic's name - a play on French words for woodworking and robots - will be covered in a keynote presentation on wood manufacturing automation at Wood Tech Summit 2012, running Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 22-23 in Vancouver. It is sponsored by WoodworkingNetwork and the University of British Columbia's Centre for Advanced Wood Processing.

Restoration Hardware got into trouble with a competitor, Emeco Industries, which said the furniture retailer has lifted its design for a chair. The New York Times presented other examples of seating by famous designers, including Arne Jacobsen, who's famous plywood Ant Chair turned 60 this year.

The snow-crushed Sunco cabinet plant reopened, and furniture makers Jasper Industries and Jofco's merger were also in the top wood industry reports this week:
