GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Steelcase Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic arm of office furniture maker Steelcase Inc., announced that Julie Ridenour has assumed the post of president.

Ridenour has nearly 20 years of experience working for both for-profit organizations. Her most recent position was trust and business development officer of Founders Bank & Trust. Ridenour is a past member and treasurer of the East Grand Rapids Board of Education and currently is a member of the St Mary's Health Care Board of Trustees, Mary Free Bed Hospital Board of Directors, and Habitat for Humanity, for which she serves as secretary.
