Shield Casework Launches in Healthcare Field

OVERLAND PARK, KS - Dimensional Innovations, commercial interior design, fabrication and installation firm, has launched Shield Casework, a new business aimed at infaction-resistant furnishings for the healthcare industry.

Shield Casework Launches in Healthcare Field Dimensional Innnovations CEO Jim Baker told the Kansas City Business Journal the new unit is a natural extension of his firm's work with impervious solid surfaces for retail and institutional clients. Drawers and cabients are made of the same material as the solid surface.

Working from a 70,000 square foot plant with CNC routers and other automated systems, Dimensional Innovations handles interiors of cinemas, casinos, sports facilities, retailers, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, entertainment venues, museums, zoos, libraries and government.

Production activities at Dimensional Innovations include engineering; an expansive production shop working in woods, metals, plastics and graphics; painting and finishing; and complete installation services.

Shield Casework uses microbial resistant solid surface materials. "Unlike traditional casework, our product offers superior healthcare associated infections prevention," says the company. Casegoods feature patent-pending embedded metal inserts to secure hardware. Radiused corners provide cleanable edges and prevent contamination from residue buildup. Solid surface materials are nonporou microbial resistant. Products include a full line of uppers, lowers, sinks and full height casework.
