Samuel Lawrence Furniture Recalls Nearly 20,000 Wood Sleigh Beds

WASHINGTON, DC - Samuel Lawrence Furniture of High Point, NC, issued a voluntary recalls of about 19,650 wood sleigh beds due to fall hazards, including 1,250 sold in Canada.

Samuel Lawrence Furniture Recalls Nearly 20,000 Wood Sleigh BedsThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada jointly announced the recall. CPSC said the hardware holding the headboard and footboard can loosen or detach posing a fall hazard.

Samuel Lawrence Furniture has receive one report involving a Florida man who injured his foor when the footboard detached.

The king- and queen-sized Bordeaux Collection bed frames, finished in cherry, were made by Poh Huat Furniture Ltd. of Malaysia. They were sold from August 2009 to April 2012 for between $400 and $500.

CPSC and Health Canada urge consumers to stop using the beds and contact Samuel Lawrence Furniture for a free repair kit.
