SEATTLE –  Pro.com, a national home repair bid generator that launched in May, raised $14 million in Series A funding, which will be used to grow its customer base and add more service professionals to its database.

Remodeler Bid Generator Raises $14 Million Pro.com provides real-time estimates and recommendations for any home project, ranging from painting a room to remodeling an entire kitchen. The database provides a list of home service professionals in a customer’s general area who can handle the desired home service project. Users can rate the professionals listed in the database. When a customer is ready to schedule, Pro.com gives the option to book online. Online direct booking services are currently available in select cities, including Seattle.

Within the first months of its launch, more than $140 million in home projects were estimated for customers across 22 percent of U.S. zip codes. The most common home projects estimated or booked through the site include painting a room, installing flooring or carpet, and repairing drywall.

The latest funding round, led by Maveron and Madrona Venture Group, is the largest co-led round by the two Seattle-based investors to date. Pro.com previously raised $3.5 million in seed funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Madrona Venture Group, Redpoint, Bezos Expeditions, Two Sigma Ventures and Sherpa Ventures.
