CHICAGO - NeoCon 2013, North America’s largest contract furnishings trade show, will bring The Outdoor Office indoors during its three-day run, June 10-12 at the Merchandise Mart.

The Outdoor Office, an exhibit developed by designer Jonathan Olivares, was displayed last fall at the Art Institute of Chicago. The exhibit plays homage for changing work habits and mobile devices that are allowing people the freedom to work outside traditional offices. The Outdoor Office exhibit will be complimented by featured speakers and programs on each day of NeoCon.

Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., owner of NeoCon, also announced the lineup of four keynote speakers. They include Bjarke Ingels, founder of BIG; Michael Vanderbyl, principal of Vanderbyl Design; Holly Hunt, president and CEO of Holly Hunt; and Theaster Gates, director, Arts and Public Life Initiative and Lecturer at the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Chicago, and Chairman of The Rebuild Foundation, NFP. Each of the keynote programs is free to attend for trade professionals only.
