ZEELAND, MI --  Home and office furnishings manufacturer Herman Miller, Inc. will report about a 13 percent increase in sales and orders for the third quarter of 2015 when it makes its formal presentation Wednesday, March 18. Residential furniture sales lead growth.

Office Furniture Maker Herman Miller Expects 3Q Sales BoostThe company said it saw momentum in its specialty and consumer segments during the quarter, which will help lead to net sales between $513 million and $518 million, a 12.5 percent to 13.6 percent from the same quarter last fiscal year.

During the third quarter the company completed development of new product introductions, including Canvas Dock and extensions to the Public Office Landscape and Mirra 2 product lines.

Based on third quarter 2015 order trends, the Herman Miller expects net sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015 to be in the range of $530 million to $560 million and full year net sales for fiscal 2015 to be in the range of $2.118 billion to $2.153 billion.

In addition to a increase in sales, the company announced the promotion of Malisa Bryant to senior vice president of sales and distribution for Herman Miller North America.
