LOS ANGELES - Nova LifeStyle Inc. (OTCQB: STVS) said its third quarter furnishings sales "remained stable," but that for the first nine months of the year its total revenues increased 21.8 percent to $56.5 million.

U.S. sales drove Nova LifeStyle's nine-month growth spurt, increasing 68.3 percent to $30.8 million.

Nova LifeStyle Inc., an international designer and manufacturer of modern sofas, dining rooms, cabinets, office furniture, bedrooms and other furnishing, posted operating income of $4.7 million for the first three quarters of 2013.

Nova LifeStyle noted that it has plans to grow sales in north Texas by having a showroom in the Nebraska Furniture Mart's new 3.9 million-square-foot retail facility in Dallas/Ft. Woth scheduled to open in 2015.

Tawny Lam, president and chairperson of the Nova LifeStyle Board, said "We are looking forward to an excellent fourth quarter and year end finish."
