New Lazy Susan, Built of Wood, Tops Week's Videos and ReportsA new corner cabinetry Lazy Susan approach, developed by a woodworker, captured the interest of the wood manufacturing indsuntry this week. Kornerking's Peter Mai has been selling his rotating cabinet core, with opposing drawers and size shelves, online to custom woodworkers and cabinetmakers, as well as to do it yourselfers, since 2010.

A single appearance of a story he wrote himself for the Management Business Advice channel at WoodworkingNetwork, says Peter Mai, and he got all kinds of calls and e-mails. The story was shared 291 times, and became a hit on Facebook.

"During the last few years many cabinet shops have added refacing as an option to their business," Mai says. "Having the Kornerking system has helped them stand apart from their competition." He also gives credit to his wife, Shelley, who "in her role as office manager, is in constant discussions with homeowners and cabinetmakers. This has allowed her to find out their needs and led to the development of additional versions of Kornerking.

During the last few years many cabinet shops have added refacing as an option to their business. Having the Kornerking system has helped them stand apart from their competition.

A key element in the continued expansion of the Kornerking product line has been the input provided by my wife, Shelley. Along with maintaining her own kitchen, Shelley, in her role as office manager, is in constant discussions with homeowners and cabinetmakers. This has allowed her to find out their needs and led to the development of additional versions of Kornerking.
