New Armstrong Cabinetry Owner Lands Major DealTHE COLONY, TX - ACProducts Inc., the former Armstrong Cabinet division, has signed an exclusive contract with Home Properties Inc. to supply cabinetry for its more than 44,000 apartment units.

This is the first major cabinetry contract announced by ACProducts, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Industrial Partners, since AIP acquired the cabinet business of Armstrong World Industries in late October.

With operations located primarily along the East Coast, the Rochester, NY-based Home Properties said it renovates an average of 4,000 to 5,000 kitchens per year. In a statement, Keith Knight, vice president of Capital Improvements and National Accounts for HPI said working with ACProducts gives the company a comprehensive national program in terms of price, service and selection.

“The cabinets design team provides final recommendations and adds value by keeping up on what’s current in materials and what makes the best choice for the property. They also are actively on site, double checking measurements and recommending tweaks when necessary,” Knight said.

Added Michael A. Glaser, CKD, Director, National Accounts for ACProducts, “Our customers can feel confident that they are receiving high-quality, high value cabinetry that works in multi-family properties. There is uniformity in look, in construction and in the value we are adding to every one of the units. That is important to us, and helps to assure our customer’s satisfaction.”

Incorporated August 2012, ACProducts has a limited license to use the Armstrong brand name and can operate under the Armstrong Cabinet Products trade name for two years. The company currently offers six wood species for its stock and semi-custom cabinets, including cherry, maple, oak, birch, plantation hardwood, and laminate/thermofoil.
