Neil Kelly Cabinets Launches Locally-Sourced Cabinetry Line
Neil Kelly Cabinets - Spin-off Success for 'Green' Cabinets

PORTLAND, OR -- Custom cabinetry firm Neil Kelly Cabinets, which produces a line of eco-friendly closets crafted from sustainable materials with no added urea formaldehyde agri-board, low VOC (volatile organic compound) glues, and adhesive and finishes, has launched a new wood cabinets line manufacturered from locally-grown juniper wood.

The Naturally Northwest collection is entirely sourced from local mills and manufactured within a 500-mile radius of Portland.

Juniper, indigenous to eastern Oregon, has taken over some areas where it is depleting the water table and contributing to soil erosion. The Bureau of Land Management has suggested selective harvesting of juniper trees to help restore the natural ecosystem.

Neil Kelly Cabinets is using juniper and other species, along with less toxic materials and finishes for the cabient line. Seven new indigenous wood species offered include include Western juniper, big leaf maple, oregon white oak, red alder, madrona, CVG fir, and Western walnut.

Neil Kelly Cabinet Co. has been manufacturing premium custom cabinets since 1966, first as a division of Neil Kelly Design/Build Remodeling and since 2001 as a stand-alone company, based in Portland, Oregon.
