Most Viewed: Tablesaw Rules, Knoll Profits Skyrocket; Table saw safety rules moved closer this week as the Consumer Products Safety Commission signaled it is moving ahead on the controversial regulations. The closely-watched CPSC deliberation could result in rules requiring electronic saw braking devices, and outcome that will  affect both professional and hobbyist markets.

Furniture manufacturer Knoll had an earnings report that showed the firm is ever more productive, and profitable. Profits skyrocketed 30.9 percent on an 18.5 percent sales rise.

Ribeau Custom Cabinets auction in Germantown, WI saw one of the larger residential custom woodworking operations succumb to the long-term business drought in the housing market.
