Minnis Woodworking Expands After FireST. ANSGAR, IA - Minnis Woodworking, an Iowa custom woodworking shop, has acquired a brand new, 20,000 square foot prefabricated steel industrial building in St. Ansgar, IA, where it plans to relocate.

Owners Kelly and Rose Minnis saw their eight-employee custom residential cabinetry and woodshop destroyed by fire November 27. They then decided to purchase the new building, which had been completed by the Mitchell County Economic Development authority just a few days before the fire took place.

The Minnis's told local media they plan to reopen by March, and will expand their custom residential cabinetry business into the commercial cabinet market. The St. Ansgar Economic Development partnered with Mitchell County, Mitchell County Economic Development, Heartland Power Cooperative, and the City of St. Ansgar to construct the new building in St. Ansgar.
