GREENWOOD, MS - Milwaukee Tool Corp. will receive grant monies to help finance an $18 million expansion of its saw blade plant in Greenwood.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing a $900,000 grant. The city of Greenwood and Leflore County will provide a 10% match of the grant, according to the Clarion Ledger.
The expansion is expected to create 32 new jobs.
Milwaukee Magazine noted that Milwaukee Tool received about$1.5 million in Wisconsin tax credits in 2011 to expand the research and development division at its Brookfield, WI, headquarters. That expansion netted about 100 new jobs.
