Lumber Remanufacturing Facility to Expand Pallet, Skid ProductionKAUKAUNA, WI – Fox Valley Wood Products, manufacturer of wood pallets, custom wood crates and mechanical skids, plans to diversify its lumber source and streamline its production capabilities with the completion of a new, 16,000-square-foot, lumber re-manufacturing facility.

Prior to the expansion, Fox Valley Wood Products would send its raw lumber to a partner facility in Pound, Wisconsin to be re-sawn and cut to length.

Sales Manager Jeff Van Zeeland expects the on-site remanufacturing capabilities to shorten lead times in production.

Fox Valley Wood Products produces up to 2,400 heat-treated export wood pallets (ISPM #15) each day with the Pallet Design System (PDS) software with LoadSync, Viking semi-automatic nailing machines and two truckload-sized kilns. Its export-certified wood crates (ISPM #15) can be designed for shipments between 5 – 5,000 lbs, and can be treated with VCI rust-inhibiting films.

The company distributes its products throughout Wisconsin, including Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, and Madison. It also distributes to customers in and around Chicago, Illinois.
