La-Z-Boy Names Daniel King President, Retail Segment

MONROE, MI - La-Z-Boy (NYSE: LZB) promoted Daniel King to President of its Retail Segment, over which King had been VP since July of 2011, and joined the business in 2008 from auto supply retailer Pep Boys, where he oversaw 153 stores.

King will be responsible for all facets of the 101 company-owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. Along with 214 other La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, the stores did $300 million in sales.

"As we move forward with our '4-4-5' store growth strategy (400 stores, averaging $4 million in sales per store, over a five-year time period), our company-owned retail segment will become a larger and more important part of our overall business," said Mark S. Bacon, President of the La-Z-Boy Branded business.
