Kitchen Cabinets Turning Colorful, Says ArmstrongTHE COLONY, TX - ACProducts, Inc., makers of Armstrong Cabinets, says new color choices  will take consumers beyond historic neutrals – white, natural, light or dark brown, sometimes black or even the occasional red.

Today, colors from couture fashion shows go straight from the runway and into the home, says Armstrong Cabinet Products, now owned by American Industrial Partners.

“White cabinets are beautiful and clean, but color can make kitchen cabinets really stand out, as long as you balance it with neutrals so as to not overpower your kitchen,” says Laura DiFazio, brand manager, ACProducts, Inc. DiFazio gives an example of a Slate painted cabinet door as a main accent color, with countertop and backsplash neutral.

Color and style is an important component of the Armstrong Cabinet Products line, the company says. New enamel hues include Alpine White, Onyx, Sage, Slate and Vanilla Cream.

Armstrong Cabinet Products is offering the new paint colors in all its birch and maple door styles in its Allwood construction series. Several coats of heavily pigmented semi-opaque paint are applied to the wood, but the natural grain is allowed to remain visible.

Five glaze options – Brown, Caramel, Pewter, Taupe and  Frost – will be available with the new paint colors, providing over 40 paint, stain and glaze combinations from which to choose. Cabinet finishes and glazes can be used to create a number of desired effects, and glaze accents provide a contrast against the lustrous finish of the cabinet doors and drawers.

In November, ACProducts, Inc. purchased and now operates the cabinet manufacturing division of Armstrong World Industries. ACProducts offers six wood species for its stock and semi-custom cabinets, including cherry, maple, oak, birch, plantation hardwood, and laminate/thermofoil. ACProducts, inc. Employs 750 and operates 27 service centers, distribution centers and warehouses in the United States.
