Kitchen Cabinetry Sales Continued Upswing Through September 2014RESTON, VA - Cabinetry sales rose 8 percent in September 2014 versus the year prior, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association monthly Trend of Business Survey, continuing a steady rise, up 5.8 percent in August and 7.3 percent in July 2014.

KCMA's survey of participating cabinetry and vanity manufacturing members said September 2014 stock cabinet sales increased 7.8 percent; semi-custom sales increased 6.7 percent and custom sales increased 17.5 percent.Figures are year over year increases for the month of September.

For August 2014 stock cabinet sales increased 3.1 percent; semi-custom sales increased 8.1 percent and custom sales increased 8.8 percent.

For July 2014 stock cabinet sales increased 7.4 percent; semi-custom sales increased 6.3 percent and custom sales increased 11.9 percent.

The year-to-date sales for the first nine months of 2014 show an increase of 10 percent with stock sales up 12.7 percent, semi-custom sales up 7.1 percent, and custom sales up 12.3 percent.

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales KCMA says now represent approximately 70 percent of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. 

Sixty-three percent of KCMA cabinet manufacturer members report sales under $10 million annually. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for over forty years.
