KLAMATH FALLS, OR – Window and door manufacturer Jeld-Wen, Inc. named Kirk Hachigian president and CEO.

Hachigian, who was already chairman of Jeld-Wen’s board, succeeded Philip Orsino, who had led the company since Onex Corporation (TSX:OCX) invested in it in October 2011. Orsino will retired as president and CEO and from the company’s board lst month, though he remains with JELD-WEN as a corporate vice-chairman, leading in the areas of strategy, technology and commercial operations. Orsino will resume his strategic partnership with Onex Corporation, focusing on new investment opportunities in the global building products industry, the company said.

Hachigian previously served as CEO of electrical products manufacturer Cooper Industries, until its merger with Eaton Corporation in 2012. He also ran Asia Pacific Operations for GE Lighting. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
