JASPER, IN - Kimball International Inc. has appointed Donald Van Winkle to executive vice president of the corporation, effective immediately. Van Winkle also continues as president of Kimball's Office Furniture Group, a position he has held since 2010. Kimball (NASDAQ: KBALB) is a global producer of commercial furniture and electronic components.

In a statement, Jim Thyen, Kimball International president and CEO said, “Don has demonstrated his market insights and earned respect for his valued judgments. It is my pleasure to make this appointment, as an acknowledgment of Don’s accomplishments and of his growing role in the strategic leadership of Kimball International as a whole.”

Van Winkle joined Kimball International in January 1991 as Kimball Office Furniture Divisional Controller. In 1999 he was named vice president, Chief Finance and Administrative Officer for the six business units within the company’s furniture segment. He was promoted to vice president, general manager, National Office Furniture in October 2003. And in February 2010, Van Winkle was promoted to the position of president, Office Furniture Group and vice president of Kimball International.
