Job of the Day: Director of Fabrication Studios, MICA, BaltimoreBaltimore, MD - Maryland Institute College of Art is hiring a Director of Fabrication Studios to coordinate the management of the fabrication studios on campus including the wood shop, model shop, studio center wood shop, digital fabrication studio, 2D prototyping lab, and the Rinehart Studio.

Job duties will include establishing safety policies, supporting a growing curriculum, and managing staffing budgets. Candidates must have a master of fine arts degree and at least three years of experience in a fabrication shop environment. Administrative and advisory experience is required, as is proficiency in woodworking, metalworking, and digital fabrication.

The Director of Fabrication Studios has the option to teach classes in accordance with the MICA Staff Teaching Policy. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes an extensive benefits package.
