Jackson Furniture Audited, Fires Undocumented WorkersCLEVELAND, TN – Jackson Furniture has fired an undisclosed number of employees after auditors from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) flagged some employees' documents as suspect, according to Times Free Press. According to the company, the employees in question were given the opportunity to verify the documents, and then dismissed if they could not be verified.

Todd DeLuca, the company’s director of human resources, would not confirm how many employees were dismissed, citing internal investigations the company is still performing. Jackson Furniture Industries employs 900 people in Tennessee. Some plant workers estimated that as many as 200 workers were let go.
