Hurd Windows and Doors Gets Presidential Award for ExportsWASHINGTON, DC – Hurd Windows & Doors has received the President's "E" Award for Exports, which was presented by U.S. Acting Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank at a ceremony last week in Washington, D.C.

The "E" Awards are the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. "It is businesses like Hurd that are strengthening the economies of local communities, creating jobs, and contributing to the worldwide demand for 'Made in the USA' goods and services,” Blank praised.

According to Hurd CEO Dominic Truniger, the Medford, WI-based firm’s custom wood windows and doors and vinyl products are sold exclusively through more than 400 distributors in the United States and Canada, and in 30 countries worldwide.

Director of international sales Scott Klieforth said, "We are honored to be recognized for our export efforts, as Hurd has recently made significant advances in expanding our international market presence …." The company has recently seen significant growth in such international markets as Ireland, South Korea and Africa.
