HomeStretch Expands Upholstered Furniture Plant, Adds JobsNETTLETON, MS - Steady growth has upholstered reclining furniture manufacturer HomeStretch Inc. expanding its operations in Nettleton, MS, and adding more employees.

The residential furniture maker will add 60,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space to its existing facility. Homestretch said the expansion will create 60 new jobs, bringing to approximately 250 the number of employees at the location.

HomeStretch opened the Nettleton plant in early 2010. “This expansion will facilitate our business plan over the next three to five years," said Skipper Holliman, president. "We remain focused on our build-to-stock strategy and will continue to exercise discipline as we take steps to respond to increased demand.

“The decisions to increase our capacity and to become a more vertical company represent an investment in our future and a firm belief in where we’re headed,” he added.

The project was aided by a joint effort from the Mississippi Development Authority, Appalachian Regional Commission, Three Rivers Planning and Development District, the city of Nettleton and Monroe County.
