ATLANTA, GA -- Home improvement and renovation retailer Home Depot plans to offer Apple's mobile payment system, Apple Pay, in nearly 2,000 stores.

According to Bloomberg News, this plan would make Home Depot the largest retail operation to-date to offer these services.

Although Apple Pay is already accepted at some locations, a spokesman for Home Depot told Bloomberg that there is no current deal in place with Apple, and other mobile payment systems may be added to its checkout terminals in the future.
