ST. LOUIS - Heritage Home Group is moving its headquarters from the St. Louis area to North Carolina. The re-formed Furniture Brands International said the closures will begin in June, resulting in more than 150 layoffs.
The residential furniture manufacturer told the St. Louis Business Journal that the Clayton corporate office will close by June 25 and its satellite office in Ballwin will close on December 31. A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice was filed in Missouri on April 25.
No information has been provided as to the new location in North Carolina.
Heritage Home Group was formed in November 2013 following the purchase by KPS of the bankrupt Furniture Brands International. The company's residential furniture brands include: Thomasville, Lane, Broyhill, Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Pearson, Hickory Chair, Lane Venture, Maitland-Smith and LaBarge.
