WAYLAND, NY – Contract furniture manufacturer The Gunlocke Co. received top honors from the United Way of the Southern Tier in upstate New York for its outstanding performance in United Way’s 2011 Community Campaign.

Gunlocke received United Way's Pinnacle Award for increasing its total campaign by 41 percent and raising $79,279 for the organization in 2011. The company also received the New Donor Participation Award for its high percentage of new donors. Gunlocke said it added 81 new United Way campaign donors in 2011

“At Gunlocke, we truly believe in giving back to the community where we live and work,” President Don Mead said in a statement. “The United Way campaign is an excellent way that we can come together as a company and provide immense support to a variety of organizations in our region.”
