BOSTON - The International Woodfiber Resource and Trade Conference (IWRTC) was purchased by RISi, a leading information provider for the forest products industry.
The IWRTC draws pulpwood, roundwood and chip industry professionals. The conference provides an opportunity to network and learn about geographic and industry sector trends for plantation owners, shippers, end users, investors and government officials.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for us to extend our coverage of the timber and woodfiber market for our clients," said Iain Murray, RISI’s vice president of marketing services.
RISI will take over day-to-day operations, but Bob Flynn, Peter Lyford-Pike and Dennis Nielson, the conference founders, will continue to participate in organizing the event.
This year's IWRTC will be held November 3-4, in Santiago, Chile. The event will be followed by an optional field trip from November 5-7.
