Furniture by Dovetail adds eight employeesHOLDEN, MA - Furniture by Dovetail, a hand-crafted furniture builder for residences, offices and institutions, says it doubled in size, adding eight new staff members.

Majority ownership was acquired in March 2011 by Jonas Geiger, president; Furniture by Dovetail was founded in 1988 by Robert and Annette Loring.

Geiger says the staff increase reflects greater demand for quality furniture.

“People are more careful about how they spend their money, and they are looking for furniture that will stand the test of time," says Geiger. "There is a greater appreciation for the quality that comes with hand-crafted furniture.”

Furniture by Dovetail added three craftsmen to its cabinet-making shop, two millwork experts for installations, two operations managers, and an operations assistant. 

Among the new hires are Peter Bellofatto, who returned to the company from a period of self-employment; Krystian Rynkiewicz, formerly a cabinet maker for Dartmouth Woodworking; and Robert Wyman, formerly with the Custom Cabinet Shop of Thoughtforms Corp. Wyman has particular expertise in curved features

James Gevry Jr.  joins the furniture company with 10 years of experience in millwork and carpentry; Lou Amorati was most recentl onsite construction manager for Ninepoints Woodworking.

Kim Neuhauser has joined Furniture by Dovetail as director of marketing.
