Furniture and Fashion Blend for New Youth Products HIGH POINT, NC – Youth furniture manufacturer Legacy Classic Kids is teaming up with kids' apparel and environments designer Wendy Bellissimo for a new line of nursery and youth furniture under a new licensing partnership. The Wendy Bellissimo Collection is set to launch at the fall 2013 High Point Furniture Market.

According to Legacy Classics, The Wendy Bellissimo Collection, due out to retail next spring, is designed to be transitionally adaptive throughout different phases of childhood and adolescence. This is achieved by its mix-and-match pieces that have a soft vintage style and that are also appropriate for an adult guest bedroom, says the company.

Though her work with Legacy Classic marks her first foray into the youth furniture industry, Bellissimo sees this partnership as a natural progression in her career.

“I owe much of my success in the baby and youth market to incorporating the perspectives of both parent and child into my designs,” says Bellissimo. “Every concept that evolves through the Wendy Bellissimo brand is a reflection of my ongoing passion to create exceptional and attainable products for real families.”

Apart from having her nursery bedding lines sold at national retailers like buybuy Baby and Babies “R” Us, Bellissimo, a mother of four, has worked with celebrity moms such as Kelly Ripa and Brooke Shields to create rooms for their children. She has also been featured in countless publications and TV shows, including People Magazine and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

“The combination of Wendy’s experiences as a mom and expertise in design and décor has been irreplaceable in helping us to create a collection that speaks to the distinctive needs and desires of the baby and youth markets.”says Earl Wang, president of Legacy Classic Kids.
