Firewood Plant Burns Down

MARINETTE, WI – Beaver Creek Wood Products’ plant, which processes firewood and wood mulch products, was destroyed in a fire early Monday morning. Damage was estimated between $800,000 and $1 million according to Fox 11 News.

Firewood Plant Burns DownFire investigators were still trying to determine what sparked the blaze that began at approximately 4 a.m. The fire burned down the company’s metal-clad warehouse and dry kiln. Approximately 50 cords of wood were destroyed. No injuries were reported.

On its website, Beaver Creek Wood Products bills itself as a producer/broker of high quality wood products to the grocery, home improvement, fund raising, and convenience store industries.
