Dieffenbacher Wins Order for Seventh Chinese Particleboard Mill

HAICHENG, CHINA - Hong Wei Woods Industry will build an 8-foot paritcleboard plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 cubic meters.

Dieffenbacher of Eppingen, Germany, has been contracted to provide a turnkey particleboard manufacturing system from wood preparation to raw board handling. The plant, which will include a Dieffenbacher continuous press, is scheduled to be in operation in December 2013.

Dieffenbacher said the Hong Wei Woods' facility will be the seventh particleboard plant it has supplied in China. The company's Chinese subsidiary, SWPM, recently took an order to provide a 4-foot MDF plant to Guangxi Fenglin Wood-Based Panel Co. in the Guangxi province.

According to its website, Hong Wei Woods was founded in 1994 and employs 1,600 people. In addition to particleboard, the company make oriented strand board (OSB) and finger-jointed products.
