BODINVILLE, NY - A furniture factory that Ethan Allen Interiors closed in 2004 will become the new home of a growing hardwood flooring manufacturer.

Delta Hardwood Floor to Occupy Dormant Ethan Allen PlantDelta Hardwood Flooring is purchasing the building in Bodinville that has 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space, according to the Observer Dispatch.The sale price was not disclosed.

Delta Hardwood Flooring, founded in 2009, will move its manufacturing operations from Lee Center, NY. The company specializes in the manufacture of tongue-and-groove hardwood floors.

Randy Bowers, owner of Delta Hardwood Flooring, told the newspaper that the plant will initially employ about 40 people but that he has "thoughts and dreams and aspirations" to facilitate continued growth. The Ethan Allen plant employed more than 260 people when it closed.

Bowers added that moving into the larger facility will give him the space to do some of the wood processing that he is currently outsourcing.
