Composite Panel Assn. Adds 3 New MembersLEESBURG, VA — The Composite Panel Assn. has added three new members: Mankato Agristand LLC, Weem Abrasives Inc. and the University of Tennessee, Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries.

Located in Mankato, MN, Mankato Agristand owns the assets of the former Environ Biocomposites facility, which it expects to be operational by the end of the first quarter. Produced will be particleboard and door core using a soy fiber technology.

Based in Markham, ON, Weem manufactures sanding belts. The company will be an associate member of the CPA. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, is the association's first academia member.

Founded in 1960, the CPA represents the North American composite panel industry on technical, regulatory, quality assurance and product acceptance issues. Its membership includes producers and users of composite panels, as well as suppliers to the industry.
