Casegoods Maker Case Systems Buys CiF Lab Wood Furnishings

MIDLAND, MI - Casework manufacturer Case Systems Inc. has acquired the assets of CIF Lab Casework Solutions, a Vaughan, Ontario wood casework manufacturer supplying the university, healthcare and government markets.

Case Systems say the purchase is a joint venture between Case Systems Inc. and dealer network Northeast Interior Systems Inc., and that it will maintain operations in Vaughan Ontario, Canada. The transaction was made through a Case Systems subsidiary, CiF Lab Solutions L.P.

“By purchasing the assets of CiF, we can offer additional value to our customers with a more robust portfolio through the combination of premium plastic laminate casework from Case Systems and premium wood casework from CiF Lab Solutions,” says Richard Vander Weele,  CEO of Case Systems.

Case Systems produces laminate casework and steel height-adjustable workstations for the educational, healthcare and laboratory markets. CiF is a manufacturer of the highest quality wood casework for the university, college, research, government and healthcare laboratory environment, as well as, the K-12 institutional market segment, in the United States and Canada.

Case Systems also owns BOSTONtec, a producer of  steel furniture for industrial and technical environments. Northeast Interior Systems is a full service dealer organization that works with architects, engineering firms, construction managers, general contractors and owners on total project delivery for the  education, research and healthcare markets.
