LE SUEUR, MN – Cambria, a manufacturer of natural quartz surfaces used in countertops and other products, plans to more than double the size of its production facility in Le Sueur.

Scheduled for coompletion in spring of 2013. the Cambria plant will total 750,000 square feet and employ 220 more workers.

“This is Cambria’s second plant expansion in six years,” said Marty Davis, Cambria’s president and CEO.

In 2007, Cambria added 200,000 square feet in expanding its plant to 350,000 square feet. The complex is built on 17 acres in Le Sueur.

Cambria, which bills itself as "the only American company in the quartz surface business," has expanded countertop distribution through its Lexus Partner Program with fabricators. In May, it added its 15th partner, Solid Surfaces Inc. of Rochester, NY. Cambria Lexus Partners must meet specific criteria and commit to a marketing program. In return, Cambria grants them exclusive fabrication and distribution in their marketplace.

In addition to its headquarters in Le Sueur, Cambria owns fabrication facilities in Toronto, Cleveland and Indianapolis.
